Britain’s labour party elects new leader

On August 14, the Labour Party began voting to choose its next leader, after Ed Miliband resigned from the position following the party's defeat in the May general election

Veteran far-left lawmaker Jeremy Corbyn won the leadership election of the UK Labour Party on Saturday after obtaining over 59 percent of votes in the first round  along side ,
 Tom Watson as the deputy leader.
