Gatwick Airport Evacuated as Suspicious Item is found

Hours after the Paris attack, a suspicious package was found to be dropped by an unidentified man at the Gatwick airport in London. Sussex Police said the north terminal was evacuated following "suspicious actions by a man who discarded an item at the airport". Explosive device specialists have been called to the airport to investigate and officers said the evacuation was "for the protection of the public". In a statement, Sussex Police said: "The North Terminal at Gatwick has been evacuated as police deal with an incident at the airport. "Police were called at around 9.30am on Saturday morning following suspicious actions by a man who discarded an item at the airport.
