Have you ever tried but failed? Maybe be an exam, job interview,contract and so many more, but to mention a few. The real fact is, just like the sine graph, life is full of ups and downs. It is the general nature of man to be elated when we accomplish our target or objective, but it is so deplorable that we feel melancholic when we miss our target, then suddenly just like a stone drops to obey the law of gravity we fall into the valley of DEPRESSION. Depression is described as a state of mind producing serious, long-term lowering of enjoyment of life or inability to visualize a happy future. The symptoms of depression ranges from feeling sad, hopeless, worthless or pessimistic, withdrawing from daily activities to having problems with sleeping, all this affect the emotional health to a great extent. A valley is said to be a depression between hills or mountain, as the thought of failure made us fall into valley of depression, few were able to climb the hill and cross over to try again, but a lot couldn't make it. It is apparent that physical activity and exercise helps prevent and improve a number of health problems, including high BP, diabetes, arthritis, including but not limited to emotional problems like depression. When you have anxiety or depression, exercise often seems like the last thing you want to do. But once you get motivated, exercise can make a big difference. Regular exercise helps ease depression in a number of ways, which may include.

Releasing feel-good brain chemicals (neurotransmitters, endorphins and endocannabinoids).

Reduce immune system chemicals that can worsen depression.

Increasing body temperature which may have calming effects.

Regular exercise has many psychological and emotional benefits too, it can help you gain confidence, take your mind off worries, get more social interaction and cope in a healthy way Increasing body temperature, which may have calming effects. So, light up your mind this weekend by engaging in some physical activities like gardening, washing your car and walking around the blocks. You can as well boost your activity level by engaging in jogging, running and some other fitness activities that get your heart pumping.
