International Literacy Day

On September 8, 1965, the United Nations first recognized International Literacy Day and folks around the world today are  marking the day which is recognized as the day we look at the problem of how many people in the world today have the ability to write and even read what am actually writing.

Is there an increase or decrease? so has there been tremendous increase in the literacy level of your country or decreasing.

Literacy is not restricted to just having basic skills like writing and  reading, According to the U.N , there are "literacies" like economic literacy, historical literacy, technological literacy, and cultural literacy.
