Journalists should write books- Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerian journalists to emulate the late vice chairman of The Sun Newspapers, Dimgba Igwe, and his colleague, Mike Awoyinfa, by writing books that will strengthen the unity of the country.
The President made this call during the public presentation of a book jointly written by the two journalists and titled ‘50 World Editors’ held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Victoria Island, Lagos on Tuesday.
Buhari, who was represented by a permanent secretary in the Federal Ministry of Information, Mrs. Oluseyi Abegunde, described the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate the memory of Igwe, whose life was cut short on September 6, 2014 by a hit-and-run driver in Lagos.
