Governors of the nineteen northern States, under the auspices of the Northern States Governors Forum(NGF), have summoned an emergency meeting to discuss recent happenings in the region, particularly the recent fracas between the Army and Shiite followers under the Islamic Movement, killed in Zaria, Kaduna State. Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, who doubles as Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, announced on Wednesday night that the nineteen Governors will be holding an emergency meeting on Saturday in Kaduna. The venue and time of the meeting has been communicated to members of the forum, he noted.
