Nigerian Soldiers Kill 12 Boko Haram members in Borno

Soldiers of the Nigeria Army, on Sunday, December 20, reportedly killed 12 Boko Haram members in bloody shootouts in Borno state.

In a statement issued by the acting director army public relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, on his Facebook page, the killings occurred in two different locations.

He said troops of 25 Task Force Brigade killed three terrorists in a shootouts at Damboa-Njaba-Bale road in the state, while troops of 7 Division Garrison on patrol at Mainari village in Mafa local government area of the state had an encounter with the terrorists and killed nine in a shootouts.

Colonel Usman said the troops also raided two different Boko Haram enclaves in parts of the state and recovered motorcycles and cache of arms in the raided hideouts after acting on a tip off on the secret camps
