At least 21 people have been killed and about two dozen injured in a fire at a neurological hospital in Russia’s central Voronezh region. Two remain unaccounted for as authorities scour the rubble of the wooden structure which was destroyed by the blaze.
“Nineteen victims’ bodies have been discovered at the site of the fire, two died in hospital,” an Emergencies
Ministry crisis center source told RIA, confirming the current death toll of 21 people. “Another two are still being searched for,” the source added. Some 70 patients were inside the building, along with at least four medical personnel, when the fire started. At least 29 of the patients were reportedly bedridden or with limited mobility.
