Fans of Christina Grimmie have been left devastated after the Voice US star was shot dead at a concert yesterday.
The 22-year-old was best known for appearing on the 2014 series of the talent show when she represented Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine's team.
Before hitting the big time on the show, Christina had a huge social media following thanks to her status as a YouTube star.
The singer regularly shared covers of popular songs with her 3.1 million fans on the video sharing site.
She first caught the attention of music executives when she uploaded a cover of Miley Cyrus' track Party in the USA.
Her performance, which has been watched over 12 million times, helped helped her sign with a management agency.
After she released her first EP in 2011, Christina became the support act for Selena Gomez on the US leg of the Hands To Myself singer's We Own The Night tour the same year.
In 2014 she released her second album, and headed out onto the road with Selena Gomez for a second time on the singer's Stars Dance tour.
Shortly after the tour came to an end, she made it through the blind auditions on The Voice US with a performance of Miley's Wrecking Ball.
After a successful run on the show, Christina made it to the finals and ultimately ended up finishing in third place.
The 22-year-old died earlier today after she was shot in the head while signing autographs for fans in Orlando, Florida .
