WikiLeaks under attack after plans to publish Erdogan Emails

The whistleblowing website WikiLeaks said Tuesday it had suffered a "sustained attack" over the announcement of publication of documents of Turkey's political power structure and the country's leadership.

On Monday, WikiLeaks promised to publish data on Turkey’s political power structure following the failed coup against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to WikiLeaks, "300 thousand internal emails from Erdogan's AKP [the Justice and Development Party] — through to July 7, 2016" will be published on Tuesday. Late on Friday, the Turkish authorities said that an attempted coup was taking place in the country. The coup attempt was suppressed by early Saturday, with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim stating that all coup supporters had been identified and would be apprehended as the country was returning to normal life. Thousands of judiciary and senior civil service members have been removed from office in Turkey and thousands of military personnel were arrested.
